2004: Rescuing the Aristides from the Central African Republic

In advance of Jean-Bertrand Aristide's expected return to Haiti in the coming days, Crowing Rooster Arts has released a video that chronicles the first delegation to visit President Jean-Bertrand Aristide in Bangui, Central African Republic, about a week after the US, Canada, and France-organized Feb 29, 2004 coup that overthrew him:

Seven years later ... Aristide remains exiled- now in South Africa - and effectively under lock and key. Like the kidnapping that uprooted him, Aristide's prison is also "modern", an invisible net of bureaucracy and diplomacy that keeps him half a world away from his homeland although he now has a passport.
