Lawyer and politician André Michel published a message on X this Friday, August 29, 2025, in which he expressed his concerns about persistent rumors of possible negotiations between the Haitian government, the Presidential Transitional Council (CPT) and armed groups in Haiti.
In his message, Michel called on the Prime Minister and the TPC coordinator to provide clear explanations to the population regarding these allegations. He reaffirmed his uncompromising position: "Nou pa nan Negosyasyon ak Gang. Pa gen Amnisti pou Teworis." (We are do not negotiations with gangs. There is no amnesty for terrorists.)
He recalls that this position has been consistent for three years, categorically rejecting any form of dialogue or compromise with the armed groups.
This statement comes in a context of tension and uncertainty where the security issue remains at the heart of national concerns.
