Dear reader,
Haiti Grassroots Watch is funded by individual and foundations gifts. This year, we have generous pledges from Church World Service, American Jewish World Service and International Media Support for about $89,000. But we still need $60,000 to be able to meet our minimal budget needs. If we don't raise that last $60,000 by the end of April, we will have to suspend our English-language work, almost all of our trainings and many other activities.
Take a look at this short video to see what we've done so far. And you can read this report from January 2013 summarizing our work and accomplishments.
No gift is too small. $25 will cover the telephone cost for a month for one of our three paid interns. $750 will cover the salary for the assistant coordinator for one month. (A full budget is available on request.)
PLEASE consider making a gift via Paypal on our site front page: http://www.ayitikaleje.org/. Or if you want your gift to be tax-deductible, send it to our fiscal sponsor, Somerville Community Access Television. Please follow the instructions on this page: http://www.ayitikaleje.org/
We have also produced a print flyer that you can reproduce and take to your community group, labor union, school, university, church, temple or mosque. You can find it as an attachment here.
Thank you for your support,
Jane Regan, coordinator
Lafontaine Orvild, assistant coordinator
