A report from the Judicial Police exposes the relationship and financing of former Prime Minister Jean Henry Céant with the late gang leader Arnel Joseph.
According to this police interview transcript concerning Arnel Joseph, dated July 29, 2019, the former gang leader claims to have had telephone contact with several political figures, including Jean Henry Céant, then Prime Minister. He also alleges that he repeatedly received large sums of money from Jean Henry Céant, while mentioning regular exchanges between them.
It is important to recall that an ULCC report implicates Jean Henry Céant in embezzling several million dollars from the ONA following revelations by Djovany Michel. On November 20, 2022, Canada sanctioned Jean Henry Céant for corruption and financing armed gangs, sanctions supported by the United States. To this day, Jean Henry Céant continues his practices and threats against anyone who dares to denounce him, including, most recently, journalist Lunie Joseph.
