The spokesperson for the group of gangs called G9 family and allies, Jimmy Cherizier says Barbecue calls on the members of his team and the diaspora to revolt against the bourgeoisie.
In an audio message circulating on social networks, we hear Jimmy Cherizier alias Barbecue denouncing the Haitian bourgeoisie of Syrian-Lebanese origin who, according to him, are enriching themselves at the expense of the Haitian people.
He says that five families control all sectors in Haiti. Both the president and the opposition work on behalf of the bourgeoisie. Cherizier added that human rights organizations and the media are puppets of the bourgeoisie.
Barbecue threatens them with armed attacks and setting fire to what they possess if they do not want to contribute to the development of the country. Barbecue claims to be “true son of Dessalines” and invites revolution against the “system”.
"Dessalines had his machete, we have our weapons," said Barbecue. The bourgeois must come to the negotiating table in favor of the country, he said. “These bourgeois drive cars costing 120,000 US dollars in the ghettos filled with waste, they do not even invest in cleaning up the neighborhoods where their business are located”, criticized Cherizier.
The Police provide security in the residential neighborhoods of the bourgeois while they do not care to bring peace to the ghettos. “Insecurity must affect upscale areas”, Cherizier said. According to him G9 and Fanmi is not simply a gang, it is a revolutionary movement. Barbecue also invites progressive bourgeois to be part of the revolution. “Not all bourgeois are bad,” he conceded.
