Monday, January 15th, activists from Solidarité Québec-Haïti #Petrochallenge 2019 (Quebec-Haiti Solidarity #Petrochallenge 2019) confronted Canada's minister of Tourism and the Francophonie Mélanie Joly. They challenged minister Joly on Canada's continued support of Haiti's president Jovenel Moise.
Two recent reports have found Moise and the Haitian government culpable for a massacre of 71 civilians in the La Saline last year.
