A Haitian national living in the Chilean capital, who claims approximately 10 million Chilean pesos were spent on a gathering that brought together a small group of guests, with no significant participation from organizations representing the Haitian diaspora.
"This was not a genuine dialogue with the Haitian community, but rather a meeting between close associates," said the expatriate, criticizing the use of funds for what he described as a targeted meeting.
According to several sources within the diaspora, no formal talks were held with recognized representatives of the Haitian community living in Chile. The event reportedly involved mainly pre-invited individuals in a limited setting.
The Haitian Prime Minister's office did not immediately respond to requests for comment regarding these criticisms.
