Fanmi Lavalas Press Release, October 29, 2022
(Unofficial English translation by Haiti Action Committee)
Fanmi Lavalas Political Organization continues to strongly condemn all the crimes, all the massacres and all the kidnappings, especially the kidnapping of Agronomist Anthony Dessources, a member of the Executive Committee of our Organization, along with Ronald Germain, which occurred on Saturday, October 29, 2022.
For the last week of October, the number of victims has been piling up, with the assassination of journalist Garry Tess in the city of Okay, the attempted assassination of Roberson Alphonse, the journalist of Magic Point 9, and today the assassination of the Secretary General of RDNP, Eric Jean-Baptiste, in Laboule. With all our strength, Fanmi Lavalas condemns these crimes, and those against all the other victims throughout the country.
The nose takes a hit; the eyes fill with tears. With great pain, we share in the suffering of the relatives and friends of the victims, particularly the family of our Brother Antony Dessources and the Germain family. Our sympathies to the families of all our Sisters and Brothers who have lost their lives. Courage to us all who are going through incredible hardships because of insecurity and the excessive cost of living. Enough is enough. Like it or not, things must change. Like it or not, all together we must change this.
Alone we are weak, Together we are strong, All Together, WE ARE LAVALAS
