Front Uni Pour une Sortie de Crise Efficace et Rurable [United Front for an efficient and durable exit from the crisis], a new political coalition, is challenging the current government. This new coalition is composed of the PHTK, EDE, Unir, MOPOD, RENAISSANCE and Les non-alignés [Non-aligned parties of the December 21 Accord], will soon be presented to the press.
The document, entitled "DECLARATION OF PORT-AU-PRINCE", consulted by our editorial staff, proposes the following:
1-Initiate discussions with representative political, economic, and social forces to set up an Exécutif de Transition [Transition Executive] in compliance with the current constitution.
2- to provide international partners with sufficient guarantees of an agreed upon mechanism to fill the vacancy at the head of the Executive following the resignation of Prime Minister Ariel Henry
3- recommend measures to alleviate the suffering of the population, help the victims of crimes perpetrated by armed gangs, and revive the national economy
4- negotiate with the UN a framework of cooperation and assistance for the sustainable re-establishment by national institutions of security conditions conducive to the resumption of socio-economic activities throughout the country, and to the organization of inclusive and credible general elections.
The document is open for signature by groups and organizations that agree with its content.
