In an open letter, a group of about 50 Haitian artists and writers said they are backing the Montana Accord, the collection of Haitian civil society groups that selected interim leaders for a transitional Haitian government last month.
“Enough hunger, enough blood, enough death, enough rape, enough kidnapping, enough tears, enough darkness for the children of the earth,” the group said in the Feb. 18 letter published in the publication Rezo Nòdwès.
The letter was signed by 47 artists and writers, including writer and director Syto Cavé, musician Wooly Saint-Louis Jean and visual artist Tessa Mars.
