He says the slain president was "a pliant neocolonial puppet" and that the character and history of Haiti is distorted to serve local elites who are totally beholden to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), the Organization of American States (OAS) and Washington. He argues that Haiti can take care of itself and needs to be left alone by foreign powers.
