Armed men in police-type uniforms traveling in three vehicles abducted several people Friday evening in the Delmas 65 area.

Among the victims was Carl-Henry Georgeon, known as Chef Shooby, a young chef described by his family as an honest worker who led a simple and dignified life. His relatives believe the kidnapping was unjustified and tragic.

The family, relatives, and friends are making an urgent appeal for solidarity and demanding the immediate and unconditional release of Chief Shooby and the other victims. They are also urging the relevant authorities to take all necessary measures to ensure their swift release.

This new incident comes amid a surge in kidnappings in the Port-au-Prince metropolitan area, a situation that deeply worries the population and human rights organizations.
