According to multiple sources, a U.S. military plane landed in Port-au-Prince on Wednesday, the day after three U.S. warships were deployed off the coast of Haiti. No official details have been released regarding the nature or objectives of this mission.

This arrival comes in a particularly sensitive political context, three days before February 7, the date marking the end of the mandate of the Presidential Transitional Council (CPT). As this deadline approaches, political tensions and questions are intensifying both within the political class and among the population.

In this climate, the United States Embassy in Haiti reaffirmed its position. In a message posted on the social network X, the American diplomatic mission renewed its support for Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, praising his commitment to stability and the building of "a strong, prosperous, and free Haiti."

At this stage, no official information has been provided regarding the duration of the increased US military presence in the region or the exact scope of ongoing operations. Haitian authorities have also not commented publicly on this deployment.

These military movements are, however, being closely monitored by observers, as Haiti goes through a decisive phase of its political transition, marked by internal divisions and increased diplomatic pressures.
