La Table Alternative and its allies called for a new interim government at a press conference held on Thursday, June 25, in Delmas. The political group denounced the deteriorating security situation, fuel shortages, and governance crisis plaguing Haiti.

Officials believe the country is experiencing a profound crisis, marked by violence, insecurity, and weakened institutions. According to them, the current authorities are no longer meeting the population's expectations.

La Table Alternative calls for inclusive consultations to establish a united political opposition capable of supporting the transition. It also proposes a return to a dual leadership structure to preserve democratic gains and mitigate the institutional crisis.

The group also denounces a lack of transparency in the management of public affairs and what it considers excessive spending in a context of great precarity.

To get out of the crisis, La Table Alternative supports targeted disarmament, transitional justice, the restoration of security, a return to constitutional order and the restoration of social peace.

The signatories also request the support of CARICOM, the Organization of American States (OAS), and the United Nations in order to promote a national political consensus.

Signatories include, in particular, Me Louvens Charles, Kerby Compère, Costarica Louis, King Pierre, Jignoré Fortunat, Bellange Pierre and Me Dupuy Marcelin.
